Unfinished kitchen cabinets
Homes always need redecorating and
redesigning, so it's no wonder that the renovation industry is thriving.
With houses and rooms being fixed up all the time, companies are cashing
in from selling materials. The kitchen is possibly the most renovated
room in any house, and for a good reason. Most families spend a lot of
time in or near the kitchen, whether for meals or just hanging out.
One of the easiest and cost friendly things to do in the kitchen is to
give your kitchen cabinets a complete overhaul. Unfinished kitchen
cabinets are a great place to start because they are so versatile; and
the sky is the limit with the looks and styles available to you. There
are many things you can do with unfinished kitchen cabinets, such as
using different stains or paints, or simply leaving it as is.
You can easily have a set of unfinished kitchen cabinets installed in a
matter of minutes with little or no help at all. Try and choose a stain
that matches the stain of your kitchen table, if it's wood, because this
will bring out the wood in your entire kitchen. I would suggest not
mixing up different types of stains; if something is glossy, try and
keep that trend throughout the kitchen. The type of wood you choose for your cabinet is just as important as the color of paint or the type of stain you choose. Depending on the type of wood, some are more porous than others and will absorb the stain more or less. So the desired effect you get with one stain on one type of wood might not be the same effect on another. This also applies to paint to a lesser degree, thus make sure you are consistent throughout your kitchen design.
You may want to buy one extra door to experiment with before
beginning.
