Resurfacing kitchen cabinets is a fairly easy process that anyone can do. Resurfacing is a great and affordable way to give your kitchen a new flair that it might not currently have. If you plan on resurfacing your whole kitchen you should first figure out how many doors you will need, measure each size and double checking to make sure you don't miss anything.

You should also buy new hinges for all the kitchen cabinets so that they all match and work properly together, otherwise you might find that some doors open differently than others. If you want a consistent look and feel throughout your kitchen, you don’t need to worry about the costs because it doesn’t cost much to purchase hinges. I would suggest using some hidden hinges because they look a lot better, function very well, and the only time you will ever see them is when you open the cabinet door.

There are two main types of doors you can choose from; the first is simple wood doors and the second is Rigid Thermo Foil. Wooden doors will often be more expensive depending on the type of wood you choose. You also have the option of finishing the wood doors any way you see fit where as the Rigid Thermo Foil doors come as is, and you can't really do anything else with them.

Rigid Thermo Foil doors are often used for a more contemporary look that will have nice clean straight lines and usually no designs on them. Wooden doors are great if you have wooden flooring in your kitchen. You can contrast the colors from your floor to the doors or get something that matches because wood is very versatile and will match almost anything.
